Mentoring & coaching

Support for people whose decisions and stories shape public understanding.

Whether you’re feeling burned out, questioning your direction, or needing a thought partner, you’re in the right place. I offer two ways of working together, one focused on well-being, the other on clarity and strategy. Both are grounded in (self)care, critical thinking, and transformation.

Two ways of working together

1. Holistic coaching: a grounded reset

For those navigating burnout, stress, decision fatigue, anxiety, or simply needing a structured space to reflect and rebuild.

Youโ€™ll receive:
An invitation to slow down and feel more in control again.
A solutions-focused approach to personal and professional dilemmas.
Accountability and strategic thinking, without judgment.
Tools grounded in mindfulness, body awareness, and systemic reflection.

2. Strategic mentoring: navigating media with clarity

For media professionals, founders, editors, or early-career journalists who want tailored guidance on strategy, leadership dilemmas, ethics, or inclusive storytelling.

Youโ€™ll receive:
Input on ethical dilemmas, framing, and working beyond dominant narratives.
Thought partnership and honest feedback.
Support in story development, team leadership, or strategic growth.

Why work with me?
I combine 15+ years of experience in journalism and leadership with deep training in holistic coaching, somatic practices, and frameworks that challenge dominant systems of thought and storytelling.

What I bring to the table:

๐Ÿ“ฐ 13+ years in public broadcasting, mostly in editorial leadership roles

๐ŸŒฟ Certified Holistic Lifestyle Coach (2-year program, NL)

๐Ÿง˜โ€โ™€๏ธ 14+ years of yoga and meditation practice, specialized in yin yoga

๐Ÿ“ Lived and worked between Europe and Southeast Asia since 2019

๐Ÿ“š Studied critical and liberatory theory, especially around global power, healing, and storytelling

๐ŸŒ€ Co-host of the Listening Circle, a monthly community space for media professionals

๐ŸŽค Speaker at the October 2025 Mental Health in Media Summit

What makes this work different?

I work with the whole person, not just the output.

  • My approach is rooted in both media practice and holistic methods.
  • Iโ€™ve studied and practiced coaching, embodiment, and decolonial theory.
  • I believe in creating space to unlearn, reconnect, and lead with intuition.
  • It’s not just about becoming a calmer version of yourself, but also about developing the clarity and ethical grounding required when your decisions or storytelling shape how others understand the world.

What do I mean by โ€œdecolonialโ€?
I use the word decolonial not as a trend or buzzword, but to describe a way of thinking and working that challenges dominant, often Western-centered, ideas about knowledge, identity, and progress. It means unlearning inherited stories, about success, objectivity, productivity, and reconnecting with rootedness, plurality, and care.

In my coaching and mentoring, this shows up as deep listening, asking questions about power and perspective, and honoring ways of knowing that often go unrecognized in traditional media or leadership spaces.

If the word feels unfamiliar or uncomfortable, thatโ€™s okay. What matters is your willingness to explore.
